The former probation services of Dyfed and Powys amalgamated on 1st April 2001 and this has provided the Area with the opportunity to combine the streghths of both Services and promote wider opportunities for staff.
It is now an organisation with 170 employees who are based in seven main administrative centres in Carmarthen, Llanelli, Haverfordwest, Aberystwyth, Newtown, Brecon and Llandrindod Wells. We also have a number of satelite offices providing reporting facilities.
